Social Cause Becomes Habit
Just returned from TheArenaMMA.com after taking a jiu-jitsu class. Picked up a copy of Revolt in Style magazine at the front door. There is a feature article on The Arena MMA's Chris Cope who is on this seasons The Ultimate Fighter, started last Wednesday.
Earlier this week I was asking what I had done for the social cause and I was coming up short on ideas. Revolt in Style magazine had "THE GREEN ISSUE recycle this magazine after reading" on the front cover. I then realized I do have a habitual recycle cans, bottles & plastic mentality. When I hear the cart pushers rolling through the alley I grab my bag of recyclables and ask them "can you use any of these?" They take what they want and we throw the rest in the recycle bin. I also believe in shutting down all computer and office equipment when not in use, turning off lights in rooms with no people, etc.
If we don't take care of Mother Earth, who will? Change begins within YOU!

The Mayan Calendar
Last night I viewed the movie "Between 2 Worlds" which talks about our current Gregorian calendar established in the 1500's and the Mayan Calendar which started at the beginning of creation. The Mayan calendar tracks the evolution of consciousness and how in the year 2012 there will be a real awakening of consciousness in man. Watch the trailer here:
